The Men of a Stranger Earth

My first attempt at digital coloring that I did a few months back. Kind of crappy, but hey. I felt like posting. 

A sentient, low gravity organism that's been kicking around my brain for some time now. They've gone through many iterations.
 
Their back is covered in a fine layer of photosynthetic fuzz, which is much thicker and more red in color in juvenile individuals like the one pictured. Humans refer to them formally as Anomalosapiens arborensis (strange thinker from the trees), and engage in limited trade and diplomacy with their kind. A common slang term for them is "rattler", since they communicate using a wide range of clicks, gurgles, pops, and rattles deep in their throats. 

Rattlers are semi arboreal animals, and climb through the gargantuan trees of their homeworld with ease. They have only a single eye coated by a hard protective sheath and use the feelers protruding from their jaws as a limited means of electroperception, which allows them to gauge distance with efficiency. 
The brightly colored patch on their chests house their reproductive organs and serves as a pouch for rearing larva till they can walk on their own. 

Expect more of these fellows in the future.
